What type of boat is used during this Open Trip?

We use a standard wooden (phinisi) Open Trip boat with shared cabins, equipped with life jackets and snorkeling gear. Private boats/cabin upgrades are available for an additional fee.

Is it safe to see Komodo dragons up close?

It is safe, as all trekking on Komodo/Rinca Island is always accompanied by an official Komodo National Park Ranger experienced in maintaining a safe distance between visitors and the animals.
